Welcome to Ujamaa
Our mission is to facilitate holistic transformation in communities through innovative sound & wellness services that ensures individuals and organizations can thrive in balance & harmony.
We cultivate these healthy environments by integrating sound & wellness approaches that foster holistic healing and workforce development through community education.
Our values include: equity, innovation, cultural competency, community, agency, & integrity
See Our Values in Action
Ujamaa LLC has offered sound healing services to over 100 underserved individuals in underserved communities in the San Francisco and Oakland through partnerships and sponsorship through local community organizations including the Bayview YMCA, SF Public Library, Rafiki Coalition for Wellness, Booker T Washington Community Service Center, Black Culture Zone, and the Healing Clinic Collective.
Our strategic partnerships have ensured that the majority of our participants are from underserved Black communities because we are dedicated to equitable access to holistic services & resources. The SoundWellness Facilitator course was designed using feedback from clients and participants who desired to learn more about sound healing and how it could support their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. They also requested instruments and tools.
We practice equity by making holistic services and career opportunities accessible to Black and other underserved communities in an effort to address the needs of wellness and fiscal autonomy. We understand that there is disparity even within low income Black communities. When seeking artists and support for events we have prioritized those who are 55+, disabled, formerly incarcerated, and/or members of the LGBTQAI+ communities. These partnerships have allowed all of our programming to be free to the community and eliminating economic barriers.
Our wellness programs are tailored to individual or organizational needs and equip your team with the integrated wellness practices supporting everyday operations for enhanced productivity and well-being.
